Dress Code Requirements
Creative Movement: Black or Pink scoop neck leotard with a cap sleeve. Pink footless tights. No skirts allowed unless it is attached to the leotard. No shoes and no tutus, please.
Ballet/Tap: Black or Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Please make sure the ballet ties are tied in a knot and then the excess tie is cut. Black tap shoes should have elastic tap ties or snaps. No ribbons on the tap shoes please.
Attached skirts only please. Hair should be pulled back away from the face. Please put your name in your dance shoes and on your dance bag.
Ballet/Jazz: Black or Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and tan jazz shoes. Tan jazz shoes should be the slip on style, no ties. Attached dance skirts or dance shorts are allowed in this class. Hair should be pulled back away from the face. Please put your name in your dance shoes and on your dance bag.
Ballet: All ballet students in level 1, 2, 3 classes should wear a black leotard, pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes and hair in a bun. No shirts, shorts or sweats. Ballet skirts are dependent upon your instructor.
Jazz: Dance pants/shorts and dance tops purchased at a dance supply store. ODC clothing is allowed but no sweatpants. Tan jazz shoes, preferably slip on jazz shoes without ties.
Tap: Dance pants/shorts and dance tops purchased at a dance supply store. ODC clothing is allowed but no sweatpants. Black tap shoes.
Lyrical: Comfortable dance clothing, no street clothes. Tan jazz shoes
Hip Hop: Comfortable clothing but no jeans please. Black hip hop sneakers or any hip hop shoe purchased at a dance supply store but must be black!!! No street shoes allowed at all. Street shoes ruin the dance floors, thank you!
Lil’ Idols and Lil’ Hip Hop: Dance pants/shorts and dance tops purchased at a dance supply store or STDC cloth- ing. Tan jazz shoes for lil’ idols and black hip hop sneakers for lil’ hip hop.
Musical Theatre: Dance pants/shorts and tops purchased at a dance supply store or STDC clothing. Tan jazz shoes.
POM: Same as hip hop
Adult Classes: Comfortable clothing but no street clothes. Appropriate shoes.
Other Studio Requirements:
Ballet students must have hair in a bun or tight ponytail with bangs bobby pinned away from the face.
Do not wear your dance shoes from the car in the studio. The dirt and gravel will ruin the floor.
No gum chewing allowed in STDC.
No food or drinks allowed in STDC unless you are siting at the front lobby table. Water bottles are OK. This policy will be strictly enforced and dancers or parents will be asked to throw away any coffee, pop, food, or gum that does not stay in the front lobby.
Candy given away after class must be eaten outside or in the car. It is not allowed to be eaten in STDC.
No running or yelling in the hallways at any time.
DO not stand on the furniture. Children will fall and can be hurt badly.
